Administrative Assistant

 

Provides general office support for a variety of clerical activities and tasks including answering incoming calls, managing the reception area, mail, requisitioning supplies, organizing office communication and activities on a day-to-day basis.

Duties and responsibilities
  • Answer telephones and direct the caller to appropriate associate; transfer caller to voice mailbox when associate is unavailable; takes and retrieves messages
  • Provide callers with information such as company address, directions to company, fax numbers, company website and other related information
  • Greets and directs visitors to the company; manages reception area to maintain a professional image
  • Receive, sort and forward incoming mail
  • Coordinates the pick-up and delivery of all mail services (FedEx, UPS, etc.)
  • Serve as point person for organizing all large mailings
  • Assist in the ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of office supplies
  • Coordinate the repairs and maintenance of office equipment, including copier, fax machines, computers, printers, etc.
  • Manage conference room reservations and organize all aspects for meetings
  • Type correspondence and reports; edit and update various spreadsheets
  • Maintain confidential records and files
  • Perform other related duties as required
Essential Criteria  and Requirements
  • Minimum Higher School diploma (year 12 or equivalent)
  • 1-3 years previous experience in an office environment
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills
  • Working knowledge of mail processes such as postage machine, FedEx, UPS
  • Strong computer literacy; Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, data entry
  • Ability to enter data efficiently, timely and correctly in order to meet deadlines
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Well-developed verbal, listening, and written communications skills
  • Ability to work independently or as a team player
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy and confidentiality
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and manner
  • Ability to contend with a wide variety of people on various issues
  • Ability to work in a busy office with constant interruptions
  • Knowledge of general bookkeeping, accounting and/or Human Resources skills may be required

Construction Project Manager

 

We require experienced construction project managers to supervise construction projects from beginning to end, ensuring that projects are completed within time and budgetary constraints. An understanding of the construction business and the ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment are important for career success. At least 5 years work experience in the industry and must be duly qualified in the appropriate field to be eligible for consideration. 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Schedule and prioritise of different phases of a project
  • Able to meet tight deadlines
  • Competent at negotiation with contractors, architects, vendors and other workers
  • Secure building permits and licenses
  • Schedule the procurement of materials and equipment to construction sites
  • Manage and supervise workplace to ensure building and safety codes and standards are maintained
  • Undertake and submit audits and reports in a timely manner
  • Competent at reading and interpreting detailed building plans and convey information to workforce
  • Control the time, cost and quality of construction projects
  • Verse in a range of vertical and horizontal construction projects that may include residential, commercial and industrial buildings to roads, bridges, energy power plants and land reclamation
  • Plan and coordinate all aspects of the construction process
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and multi-tasks
Essential Criteria  and Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or Project Management
  • 5 years previous experience in Construction Project Management

  • Proven leadership skills and human resource experience
